Have you ever wondered how to create your own customized stickers? Surprisingly this process can be simple, cost-effective and your decals can turn out beautifully. Done properly your stickers can last for YEARS and even be waterproof!
Step 1: Have an Idea in Mind
Creating your own stickers is easier than you think. All you need is an idea, a printer and printable sticker paper! Surfing the internet can be very useful to help you gather ideas. Pinterest has thousands of ideas that you can quickly browse through, and Google images can also help when deciding what design you want to go with.
Step 2: Print Your Graphic
Printing on Royal Elements (or any brand of sticker paper) is just like printing normal sheets of paper. You can you design software such as Microsoft Word and add your image to the page then print! Be sure your sticker can fit on an 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper and your printer settings are adjusted properly for the highest resolution possible.
Step 3: Cut Out Your Design and Stick it on!
Once your sticker paper or vinyl has been printed, you can either use a cutting machine (such as Cricut or Silhouette) OR good old-fashioned scissors to cut the shape of your sticker out from the paper. After that you can peel of the backing sheet and place it on the surface- making sure it is already clean, hard and smooth so the decal will stay on the surface permanently. If you wanted to go the extra mile you could place a clear laminating sheet over top of your decals to prevent wear-and-tear and allow your stickers to display beautifully outdoors with full protection from UV light as well!
